Why take risks?

It’s easy to convince yourself that if you never take risks, you will always be safe. If you don’t move, if you don’t speak up, if you don’t try, you will never fail.

But that’s simply not true.

Choosing not to explore is choosing ignorance of what would be explored. Choosing not to take a risk is choosing not to open yourself up to greater rewards and new knowledge.

Ignoring the opportunity cost of the options in front of you is a massive silent risk that most ignore. Weigh your opportunities by the amount of potential risk vs the amount of possible reward they would bring. Choose the path that offers the best combination of the lowest risk and the highest reward. Then go full blast after that low-risk high-reward opportunity!

Shake off the shackles of fear and move toward starting that business, side project, relationship, or whatever you’re facing.
