paris_vega: welcome to the first customers podcast today we’ve got nick masel with us from cadversity. nick where are you from man
Nick Maciel: i was actually born in raised just outside boston and currently lived there still so. all my life
paris_vega: okay awesome and growing up did you sell anything or have a little little business or anything like that when you were a little kid
Nick Maciel: i did actually that’s that’s a great question when i was what was my first gig i was seven i had a lemonade stand for half a summer and then i got very tired and very hot
so that’s why it only lasted for half a summer and then. when i was nine i ended up creating newspapers for my local street and it
Nick Maciel: was a combination of like learning how to form at i would do like comics. i would do cross words then i would actually add news articles and i would just print them use up all of my parents ink and paper and i would sell them for a buck piece to all of my neighbors on the street then that was pretty much it that was my only sales experience when i was a kid
paris_vega: awesome all right that was basically your
first job
Nick Maciel: i guess you can say so yeah well maybe chores in the house
paris_vega: okay and then what was your first
job for like another business after that
Nick Maciel: my first actual job i was a bagger and cashier for a small local chinese restaurant and at the time. i think i was before the adjusted minimum wage think i was making like eleven bucks an hour i’m
paris_vega: and how many businesses would we say
or projects things to raise money and earn money in different ways did you
get into before your current project
Nick Maciel: yeah so i ran to serious businesses
before my current agency both of which i exited in college
paris_vega: okay cool and why did you start this business
that you’re in now adversity
Nick Maciel: so i call it kind of a
vendetta or revenge plot the reason being is because you know what we do at
adversities we is we supply turnkey designs product designs completely bespoke to entrepreneers and other engineering firms and we do it for a fraction of the price and a fraction of the time compared to something like a traditional consultant firm or freelance in platforms the reason i say it’s a in debt right so i had actually done free lancing myself in this arena while i was in knowledge to make you know to make money and the experience was extremely prohibitive was a large glass ceiling between myself my clients um i it was very difficult to understand project vision without like any sort of dedicated fulfillment system on these platforms and i was also underpaid and you need to monet is your account on these platforms in order to win proposals on contracts so because of those negative experiences i wanted to start this agency for other contractors
paris_vega: okay so can you remember the moment you decided to start your own business and what was that what were you going through what were our thinking about yeah so to start my first or to start evers
Nick Maciel: yeah so i remember watching a bunch of videos about the impending recession as you get to hit us and looking into different business models that would be sustainable and of course identifying my nice which is in the engineering space it’s the only thing i’m goin at all i’m able to sell within right uh and consistent advice from my mentors and from what i was seeing in the line was that an agency is the most sustainable business model to start with little to no accolade a little to no cash reason being is because you’re providing a service up front so it’s really easy to package our service and sell and then you can invest in automations
and other systems to grow the business a
paris_vega: yeah how long did it take you to to launch once you decided to start the business
Nick Maciel: so i decided to start actually in may of this year so it’s a new business and then i didn’t form the l c until september and i wasn’t operating until october so it’s pretty new
paris_vega: yeah that really new yeah and when you were when you got the l l c you were starting actually go after business how did you launch
Nick Maciel: yeah so the way that i launched is i did some pre marketing a little bit of organic and hit advertising up front and then i also opened an immediate referral system where basically i provide and this is still public i provide commissions to people that publicly refer people that want things to be designed right and so generating that hype enabled actually myself to learn first client within the first wee um and it was basically published the website launch out all the
ads on a scheduler and just just run word of mouth for the first week or but effective
paris_vega: yeah how many customers do you have now that since launching if you don’t mind
Nick Maciel: yep so all of our clients right now are fixed fee which means they’ll come to us with the specific project and we’ll work with them once and then we do have recurring relationships to date we’ve worked with since the begin october we worked with twelve clients
paris_vega: awesome and what’s your role at the business
Nick Maciel: so i’m owner and operator right so i have a administrative assistant who runs kind of the nittygrity of things and which i always recommend new business owners to have to out sore and i have a remote software developer for an apt that we’re developing for fulfillment and in addition to that i’ve got contractors and sales people but what i do is i generate appointments
i’m always working on improving or marketing or advertising and i’m the actual touch point
when you get on a sales call to you to speak with the client
paris_vega: cool can you talk a little more about the problem that your business solves for your customers
Nick Maciel: yeah absolutely so you know i think that this is a case where this problem isn’t exactly on the front of people’s minds is not something that they think they have but we’re certain that they haven’t you know if you’ve ever had a shower thought right if you’ve ever been at the dinner table and you watch shark tank right unless we will watch shark we’ve all had these cool ideas for some thing that we would make right no matter how crazy it is but it’s always come short of just a goofy conversatio right But i think that for those of us
who decide were serious about creating a physical product we then have to navigate a
very saturated v c investor space that requires a lot of equity dilution and a lot of money to be raised up front for prototyping and that’s simply not the way you can prototype designs and get first spins of manufactured products out for a tenth to a fifth to a tenth of the price of trying
to raise around with eventual capital firm and go through the weeds of that of that system of that situation so we want to empower people to launch their own market ready shelf ready products any idea that they that they have in mind
paris_vega: well okay and so talk a little more about why you think that problem exists or what what causes that problem or disconnect for people
Nick Maciel: yeah i think most people dive into entreprenership and end up doing things that they dislike because it might cash flow or it might make sense in the market so most entrepreneurs are are very software focus right most entrepreners that try to develop a product nowadays it’s a digital ascent it’s a digital product and here i am saying it doesn’t matter where you come from whether it’s from a marketing perspective or a software a service or whatever industry you’re looking to plug into you are capable with no technical knowledge of developing a
bespoke physical product that can be sold to the market
paris_vega: wow so your helping people get things started getting actual physical products launched um m how many people do you think there are like how big of the market do you
think that there is for this how often do you think people have this problem
Nick Maciel: yeah that’s a great question i think the market is i think the opportunity rather is obtainable for almost anyone and the reason i say that is because when i have conversations with people from walks of life about what we do it’s a rekindling of some of these ideas that they’ve had for stuff that they would make or stuff they’ve thought of before right and
these are generally creative people right so if you’re a creative person maybe you wanted
to star project in your garage whatever it is but you just don’t have access
to the technical aptitude the resources the money et cetera to get it consulted out
and to get it actually brought to market for me it’s it’s you know quite
personal because my first business i was product based in the utility center and i
didn’t have this kind of resource to propell me to the point where i could
be investable and i had this resource i would have been investable and i was
never business oriented in the first place i just decided to nose dive into product
development oh
paris_vega: yeah that’s awesome
Nick Maciel: this could liberate you know in my mind this is the kind of umaffordable and efficient system that could liberate like think about like a forty five year old father of three kids right uh isn’t happy in his job right and is just really creative um you know anaesthetic person and
has these chool ideas for these products but just doesn’t have the capital time or the knowledge to actually implement them and sell them we try to help that person
paris_vega: okay all right and how would you help somebody like that can you go into a little more of the process that you can share about how you help people what works and what doesn’t work
Nick Maciel: so we have an automatic quoting system basically you can upload whatever you have napkin sketches all the way up to formative computer ated design drafts whatever you have for your idea and then we quote out automatically you receive an email with a preliminary invoice i’ll quote it in your name with an n d a assignable nd a within three or five minutes and you can hop on a book and call to negotiate terms and price or you can
initiate the signature on the envoys directly the reason why that’s beneficial is because you
can get started today and the cost that we have completely undercut market we are
about twenty to thirty five per cent the
196
00:10:41,491 –> 00:10:44,196
Nick Maciel: cost of hiring out a traditional engineering
197
00:10:44,024 –> 00:10:44,045
198
00:10:44,236 –> 00:10:49,624
Nick Maciel: consulting firm for the same design level
work yeah and we while we of course
199
00:10:49,845 –> 00:10:54,132
Nick Maciel: are more we have a higher price
ticket than like a free lancing platform where
200
00:10:54,172 –> 00:10:57,518
Nick Maciel: you hire someone out in a foreign
country for a couple bucks an hour right
201
00:10:58,240 –> 00:10:58,881
Nick Maciel: we provide
202
00:10:58,786 –> 00:10:58,988
203
00:10:59,503 –> 00:11:08,203
Nick Maciel: secure vetted contractors that are professionally licensed
engineers across the country and we provide a
204
00:11:08,284 –> 00:11:14,314
Nick Maciel: relationship between the contractor and the client
through calls et cetera so you’re really going
205
00:11:14,296 –> 00:11:14,539
206
00:11:14,394 –> 00:11:18,161
Nick Maciel: to take ownership of your product vision
but you don’t have to put in any
207
00:11:18,241 –> 00:11:21,217
Nick Maciel: of the leg work yourself to get
the design fulfilment out
208
00:11:24,135 –> 00:11:28,129
paris_vega: got it are there other companies that
that do this same kind of thing are
209
00:11:28,190 –> 00:11:28,611
paris_vega: you guys
210
00:11:29,931 –> 00:11:30,251
211
00:11:30,125 –> 00:11:32,212
paris_vega: the only ones or what’s the competition
look like
212
00:11:32,475 –> 00:11:36,902
Nick Maciel: yeah similar so a lot of the
competition traditional consulting terms right you can hire
213
00:11:37,003 –> 00:11:42,792
Nick Maciel: out engineers that are on w two
full time engineers to turn over your design
214
00:11:43,914 –> 00:11:49,083
Nick Maciel: and then continue to pay down the
road for new revisions manufacturing testing et cetera
215
00:11:49,784 –> 00:11:55,573
Nick Maciel: in house and then there are also
competitors that ist in the free lancing space
216
00:11:55,694 –> 00:11:59,921
Nick Maciel: there is a platform called cad crowd
and people can go on and create a
217
00:11:59,961 –> 00:12:05,890
Nick Maciel: profile and submit a project as a
auction contest where a bunch of design contractors
218
00:12:05,950 –> 00:12:10,736
Nick Maciel: that have profiles on the other side
of the platform can submit their designs and
219
00:12:10,796 –> 00:12:17,011
Nick Maciel: then you select a winner from the
pool the reason why i feel like maybe
220
00:12:17,031 –> 00:12:20,184
Nick Maciel: you’re going to this next but the
reason why i feel like that platform specifically
221
00:12:20,224 –> 00:12:26,511
Nick Maciel: is problematic because you’re pushing out a
limited amount of content and then asking a
222
00:12:26,591 –> 00:12:31,610
Nick Maciel: bunch of people to kind of a
tack et from angle that doesn’t have a
223
00:12:31,731 –> 00:12:35,234
Nick Maciel: full level of understanding of the project
vision and scope and where you want to
224
00:12:35,274 –> 00:12:38,396
Nick Maciel: take that idea how does it relate
to your business how does it relate to
225
00:12:38,416 –> 00:12:42,990
Nick Maciel: your play line in the future and
on top of that your i always said
226
00:12:43,030 –> 00:12:46,474
Nick Maciel: you get what you’re paying for so
your paying pennies on the dollar but you’re
227
00:12:46,674 –> 00:12:50,878
Nick Maciel: you know you’re getting random college kids
submitting their designs to your you know for
228
00:12:50,918 –> 00:12:51,699
Nick Maciel: your prototype son
229
00:12:53,235 –> 00:12:55,297
paris_vega: yeah okay
230
00:12:56,040 –> 00:12:56,303
231
00:12:56,118 –> 00:12:56,459
232
00:12:57,180 –> 00:12:57,990
233
00:12:57,180 –> 00:13:00,524
paris_vega: what do you think your biggest win
has been since since youve launched
234
00:13:01,030 –> 00:13:06,258
Nick Maciel: our biggest win so far has been
the consistent positive testimonies from our clients and
235
00:13:06,359 –> 00:13:11,387
Nick Maciel: the consistent positive testimony from our contractors
so the contractors that work with our agency
236
00:13:11,607 –> 00:13:15,354
Nick Maciel: have all they always say like where
has this been they’ve always told me where
237
00:13:15,454 –> 00:13:19,260
Nick Maciel: where has it been a lot of
them came from the free lancing platforms that
238
00:13:19,300 –> 00:13:21,905
Nick Maciel: i used to work on as well
once
239
00:13:21,867 –> 00:13:22,092
240
00:13:21,925 –> 00:13:26,833
Nick Maciel: again underpaid under served had to monetize
there proposals yeah and then on the clients
241
00:13:26,853 –> 00:13:33,263
Nick Maciel: side we’ve just only received m extremely
positive reciprocal feedback on the design deliverables and
242
00:13:33,304 –> 00:13:37,170
Nick Maciel: the quality of the work turned over
and you can view our testimonials at free
243
00:13:37,251 –> 00:13:40,079
Nick Maciel: cat quotes dot common or website
244
00:13:40,446 –> 00:13:41,851
paris_vega: free cad quotes dot com
245
00:13:41,700 –> 00:13:42,162
Nick Maciel: cad quotes
246
00:13:43,115 –> 00:13:48,932
paris_vega: yea cool and so have any products
become
247
00:13:48,900 –> 00:13:49,302
248
00:13:49,865 –> 00:13:51,427
paris_vega: kind of market successes
249
00:13:51,030 –> 00:13:51,212
250
00:13:51,467 –> 00:13:53,490
paris_vega: where they’ve actually gone on to sell
or has
251
00:13:53,430 –> 00:13:53,676
252
00:13:53,730 –> 00:13:57,556
paris_vega: has there been enough time for someone
to actually get something developed and then start
253
00:13:57,636 –> 00:14:00,329
paris_vega: making sales or starting the commerce side
or how
254
00:14:00,270 –> 00:14:00,430
255
00:14:00,349 –> 00:14:01,092
paris_vega: do they go to market
256
00:14:01,432 –> 00:14:05,598
Nick Maciel: yeah so because we’ve been in operations
for two and a half months nothing has
257
00:14:05,659 –> 00:14:10,126
Nick Maciel: been fully ramped to the production scale
however we do have a client that we
258
00:14:10,206 –> 00:14:19,662
Nick Maciel: developed a car elimination machine and wash
down machine for and they have completely constructed
259
00:14:19,702 –> 00:14:23,408
Nick Maciel: the prototype that we designed for them
and they’re running testing now and then
260
00:14:23,746 –> 00:14:23,930
261
00:14:23,829 –> 00:14:24,109
Nick Maciel: they’re goin
262
00:14:24,032 –> 00:14:24,195
263
00:14:24,169 –> 00:14:26,977
Nick Maciel: to determine the amount of through put
they get and from their move into production
264
00:14:27,178 –> 00:14:28,387
Nick Maciel: so exciting
265
00:14:29,125 –> 00:14:32,942
paris_vega: awesome all right now let’s get into
your first customers
266
00:14:33,290 –> 00:14:33,470
267
00:14:34,115 –> 00:14:36,722
paris_vega: started with zero customers now you have
some customers
268
00:14:36,890 –> 00:14:37,030
269
00:14:37,324 –> 00:14:40,412
paris_vega: so what happened there in between how
did you get that very first
270
00:14:40,254 –> 00:14:40,336
271
00:14:40,492 –> 00:14:40,873
272
00:14:41,350 –> 00:14:49,122
Nick Maciel: yeah really honestly not sleeping much and
sprinting as many parallel marketing activities is possible
273
00:14:49,223 –> 00:14:49,944
Nick Maciel: so it’s a combination
274
00:14:49,865 –> 00:14:51,935
275
00:14:50,004 –> 00:14:55,416
Nick Maciel: of a few things i use linked
in sales navigator which allows me to establish
276
00:14:55,496 –> 00:15:04,184
Nick Maciel: meaning for relationships prospects um i also
use email collection tools and a c r
277
00:15:04,324 –> 00:15:09,673
Nick Maciel: m which has allowed me to establish
an email list of subscribers we have a
278
00:15:09,733 –> 00:15:13,900
Nick Maciel: blog and a news letter that ties
into that that also gets prospects engaged and
279
00:15:14,521 –> 00:15:20,311
Nick Maciel: in addition to that umfacebook marketing instagram
linked in and twitter both paid and organic
280
00:15:20,852 –> 00:15:27,091
Nick Maciel: um and we’re currently oft we’re always
constantly optimizing our as dream so we both
281
00:15:27,212 –> 00:15:31,046
Nick Maciel: pay money and work for free to
gather new prospects
282
00:15:32,889 –> 00:15:35,541
paris_vega: okay so do you remember the very
first
283
00:15:36,060 –> 00:15:36,780
284
00:15:37,099 –> 00:15:38,167
paris_vega: paying customer that you got
285
00:15:38,570 –> 00:15:40,733
Nick Maciel: yes yeah that was
286
00:15:40,660 –> 00:15:40,801
287
00:15:40,813 –> 00:15:41,154
288
00:15:41,083 –> 00:15:42,451
paris_vega: how did you get them specifically
289
00:15:42,817 –> 00:15:45,301
Nick Maciel: that was a direct referal so for
me as expected
290
00:15:45,448 –> 00:15:45,652
291
00:15:45,501 –> 00:15:49,267
Nick Maciel: most of our upfrontclients would be through
referals and
292
00:15:49,325 –> 00:15:49,531
293
00:15:49,327 –> 00:15:55,538
Nick Maciel: word of mouth be we’re a high
ticket service based agency usually that’s how it
294
00:15:55,578 –> 00:16:01,167
Nick Maciel: goes because one of the things that
we’re always doing is changing our value offer
295
00:16:01,668 –> 00:16:06,656
Nick Maciel: and changing our advert i sing around
that because as i mentioned at the beginning
296
00:16:06,676 –> 00:16:07,077
Nick Maciel: of this call
297
00:16:06,979 –> 00:16:07,081
298
00:16:07,798 –> 00:16:12,506
Nick Maciel: people have thought of great ideas but
they didn’t realize that it was a problem
299
00:16:12,646 –> 00:16:16,537
Nick Maciel: that our society is structured in such
way that it’s prohibitive to develop such ideas
300
00:16:17,400 –> 00:16:17,841
Nick Maciel: so you
301
00:16:18,135 –> 00:16:18,257
302
00:16:18,682 –> 00:16:22,130
Nick Maciel: for my business i have to communicate
how someone with a little extra cash to
303
00:16:22,170 –> 00:16:26,198
Nick Maciel: spend can really change the course of
the rest of their life through our agency
304
00:16:28,555 –> 00:16:32,928
paris_vega: cool and so those referrals that you
got for your very first customers
305
00:16:33,050 –> 00:16:33,170
306
00:16:35,315 –> 00:16:35,475
307
00:16:35,550 –> 00:16:36,480
308
00:16:35,555 –> 00:16:37,557
paris_vega: that a result of building
309
00:16:37,350 –> 00:16:37,803
310
00:16:37,598 –> 00:16:42,444
paris_vega: your network previously previous businesses you’re involved
in or explain a little bit about that
311
00:16:43,210 –> 00:16:47,153
Nick Maciel: so completely dissociated from my previous businesses
but it’s definitely because of the network i’ve
312
00:16:47,193 –> 00:16:53,879
Nick Maciel: established i’ve always been very active particularly
on linked in the engineering space so
313
00:16:54,256 –> 00:16:54,458
314
00:16:54,790 –> 00:16:59,744
Nick Maciel: always developed posts that have absolutely nothing
to do with selling my business or value
315
00:16:59,805 –> 00:17:02,522
Nick Maciel: content by establishing that those
316
00:17:02,444 –> 00:17:02,465
317
00:17:03,083 –> 00:17:08,110
Nick Maciel: i was able to have clients in
trust with their project so
318
00:17:09,446 –> 00:17:10,632
paris_vega: and so those very first
319
00:17:10,745 –> 00:17:10,828
320
00:17:11,685 –> 00:17:16,879
paris_vega: clients would you say they were result
of the content marketing that you were doing
321
00:17:16,999 –> 00:17:19,402
paris_vega: or was it like
322
00:17:19,680 –> 00:17:19,842
323
00:17:19,882 –> 00:17:22,665
paris_vega: relationships that you had made like
324
00:17:23,280 –> 00:17:23,440
325
00:17:23,428 –> 00:17:27,700
paris_vega: previous customers or just this is the
part that i really like to go deep
326
00:17:27,780 –> 00:17:28,362
paris_vega: into because this
327
00:17:28,380 –> 00:17:28,501
328
00:17:28,422 –> 00:17:32,936
paris_vega: is that critical step for everybody who’s
starting something and they’ve got zero
329
00:17:32,850 –> 00:17:33,153
330
00:17:33,096 –> 00:17:34,962
paris_vega: customers and they’re wanting to get that
first one
331
00:17:35,162 –> 00:17:35,283
332
00:17:35,855 –> 00:17:39,801
paris_vega: so that’s why i keep drilling in
on this one part because it’s really interesting
333
00:17:39,933 –> 00:17:40,054
334
00:17:40,742 –> 00:17:41,924
paris_vega: the specifics about that
335
00:17:42,850 –> 00:17:46,636
Nick Maciel: for me it was all about relationships
front that’s the only reason i would have
336
00:17:46,657 –> 00:17:51,645
Nick Maciel: been able to profit in my first
month and i would say generally speaking that
337
00:17:51,825 –> 00:17:56,881
Nick Maciel: if you don’t establish yourself as a
trustworthy leader your industry and continue to grow
338
00:17:57,121 –> 00:18:01,906
Nick Maciel: that trust then just be prepared like
you can succeed equally in terms of client
339
00:18:01,926 –> 00:18:04,608
Nick Maciel: acquisition just be prepared to pay a
lot of money to do so
340
00:18:07,375 –> 00:18:09,157
paris_vega: so you either have to have the
reputation
341
00:18:09,232 –> 00:18:09,394
342
00:18:09,237 –> 00:18:11,699
paris_vega: the audience kind of the thought leadership
343
00:18:11,780 –> 00:18:11,900
344
00:18:12,340 –> 00:18:13,100
paris_vega: or you have to pay
345
00:18:13,503 –> 00:18:14,244
Nick Maciel: to get the audience
346
00:18:14,242 –> 00:18:15,042
paris_vega: for leave generation
347
00:18:15,206 –> 00:18:15,567
348
00:18:15,423 –> 00:18:18,568
paris_vega: add campaigns okay how old are you
349
00:18:19,073 –> 00:18:19,595
Nick Maciel: i am twenty two
350
00:18:20,865 –> 00:18:25,448
paris_vega: twenty two and you were able to
establish yourself as enough of a leader that
351
00:18:25,528 –> 00:18:27,270
paris_vega: seems pretty quick man how long do
you think
352
00:18:27,270 –> 00:18:28,740
353
00:18:27,330 –> 00:18:31,874
paris_vega: it takes somebody to establish themselves enough
to have the kind of network that you
354
00:18:31,954 –> 00:18:32,154
355
00:18:32,915 –> 00:18:37,883
Nick Maciel: i think well it’s certainly on a
time scale basis it takes years rather than
356
00:18:38,043 –> 00:18:38,243
357
00:18:39,427 –> 00:18:39,612
358
00:18:39,886 –> 00:18:45,723
Nick Maciel: but but for everybody it’s different now
i think i struggled in the beginning to
359
00:18:45,803 –> 00:18:49,208
Nick Maciel: find my voice on social media right
which i think
360
00:18:49,097 –> 00:18:49,321
361
00:18:49,269 –> 00:18:53,055
Nick Maciel: most people do because they try and
figure out a combination of the two of
362
00:18:53,476 –> 00:18:57,443
Nick Maciel: okay what do i actually enjoy posting
on and what is like my natural voice
363
00:18:57,503 –> 00:18:59,808
Nick Maciel: that engages people right and sometimes
364
00:18:59,709 –> 00:18:59,891
365
00:18:59,868 –> 00:19:03,035
Nick Maciel: those can but heads so you kind
of have to test different things and figure
366
00:19:03,075 –> 00:19:09,213
Nick Maciel: it out but no i’m still not
like satisfied with where things are and i
367
00:19:09,253 –> 00:19:09,795
Nick Maciel: guess that’s just
368
00:19:09,786 –> 00:19:09,971
369
00:19:09,875 –> 00:19:12,851
Nick Maciel: a motivating actor yeah
370
00:19:12,955 –> 00:19:16,783
paris_vega: so you said you were part of
two businesses before this right
371
00:19:17,311 –> 00:19:17,492
372
00:19:18,795 –> 00:19:21,306
paris_vega: you were doing all this during college
or did you start when
373
00:19:21,303 –> 00:19:21,447
374
00:19:21,326 –> 00:19:22,611
paris_vega: you were in high school
375
00:19:22,950 –> 00:19:25,794
Nick Maciel: yeah so in high school i was
total
376
00:19:26,915 –> 00:19:27,725
377
00:19:27,357 –> 00:19:31,103
Nick Maciel: mechanical engineer robotics nerved total just
378
00:19:31,117 –> 00:19:31,341
379
00:19:31,324 –> 00:19:38,614
Nick Maciel: full out technical didn’t really expand my
skill beyond that my first venture into entrepreneur
380
00:19:38,654 –> 00:19:42,099
Nick Maciel: ship was my freshman year in college
and the only reason i got into it
381
00:19:42,139 –> 00:19:46,266
Nick Maciel: was because i met some friends that
were in that space that dragged me into
382
00:19:46,326 –> 00:19:48,009
Nick Maciel: it and i really mean
383
00:19:47,967 –> 00:19:48,169
384
00:19:48,049 –> 00:19:49,931
Nick Maciel: drap uh i
385
00:19:50,105 –> 00:19:50,550
386
00:19:50,351 –> 00:19:50,692
Nick Maciel: ended up
387
00:19:51,664 –> 00:19:51,725
388
00:19:52,313 –> 00:19:57,598
Nick Maciel: running through the pitch competition on my
university and we ended up winning the school
389
00:19:57,618 –> 00:19:58,339
Nick Maciel: wide pitch competition
390
00:19:58,096 –> 00:19:58,198
391
00:19:59,210 –> 00:19:59,733
Nick Maciel: and so for me
392
00:19:59,765 –> 00:19:59,906
393
00:20:00,921 –> 00:20:06,539
Nick Maciel: that was like glimpse into okay maybe
i have some some something i’m cut out
394
00:20:06,639 –> 00:20:12,611
Nick Maciel: for that goes just beyond the technicals
product development um and
395
00:20:12,485 –> 00:20:12,626
396
00:20:12,811 –> 00:20:13,695
Nick Maciel: so that’s where it all started
397
00:20:15,856 –> 00:20:17,226
paris_vega: and what school was that
398
00:20:17,620 –> 00:20:20,025
Nick Maciel: northeastern in boston for
399
00:20:19,995 –> 00:20:20,236
400
00:20:20,066 –> 00:20:23,353
Nick Maciel: those who don’t know yet it’s across
the bridge from m i t harvard
401
00:20:25,035 –> 00:20:25,497
paris_vega: okay cool
402
00:20:25,920 –> 00:20:29,010
403
00:20:28,145 –> 00:20:32,931
paris_vega: so you got through two businesses now
you’re on your third and you’re you’re still
404
00:20:33,051 –> 00:20:33,753
paris_vega: in college right
405
00:20:34,611 –> 00:20:36,515
Nick Maciel: i’m in grad school so i’m in
my last
406
00:20:36,395 –> 00:20:36,858
paris_vega: grad school
407
00:20:37,015 –> 00:20:39,580
Nick Maciel: i’m in my last semesrograd school and
it’s completely
408
00:20:39,556 –> 00:20:39,740
409
00:20:39,660 –> 00:20:40,722
Nick Maciel: remote so
410
00:20:40,865 –> 00:20:40,885
411
00:20:40,962 –> 00:20:44,688
Nick Maciel: it affords me the time to the
majority time to focus on building my business
412
00:20:46,387 –> 00:20:49,108
paris_vega: awesome you’re getting after it man
413
00:20:49,581 –> 00:20:50,122
Nick Maciel: yeah thanks
414
00:20:50,071 –> 00:20:50,191
415
00:20:50,242 –> 00:20:50,443
416
00:20:50,251 –> 00:20:50,953
paris_vega: inspiring to see
417
00:20:51,145 –> 00:20:51,325
418
00:20:53,820 –> 00:20:58,259
paris_vega: all right so you launched this new
business adversity
419
00:20:58,620 –> 00:20:58,720
420
00:20:59,605 –> 00:21:05,895
paris_vega: you’re hustling putting stuff out working the
marketing funnel and you may have been talking
421
00:21:05,935 –> 00:21:10,543
paris_vega: to different potential clients and then there’s
a day when you get your first payment
422
00:21:10,643 –> 00:21:11,525
paris_vega: in some form right
423
00:21:12,312 –> 00:21:12,412
424
00:21:12,485 –> 00:21:15,793
paris_vega: some point that first customer paid tell
me about that moment
425
00:21:16,230 –> 00:21:16,473
426
00:21:16,355 –> 00:21:16,603
427
00:21:17,790 –> 00:21:20,976
Nick Maciel: i wish i could sit here and
tell you that it was
428
00:21:20,984 –> 00:21:21,005
429
00:21:21,177 –> 00:21:22,038
Nick Maciel: grandiose and
430
00:21:23,238 –> 00:21:23,825
431
00:21:23,341 –> 00:21:24,985
Nick Maciel: a big you know fist in the
air
432
00:21:26,105 –> 00:21:26,306
433
00:21:26,147 –> 00:21:27,753
Nick Maciel: celebration but
434
00:21:28,385 –> 00:21:28,526
435
00:21:28,399 –> 00:21:28,743
Nick Maciel: it was
436
00:21:28,546 –> 00:21:31,241
paris_vega: your third time around so you’re used
to this by now i guess
437
00:21:31,220 –> 00:21:36,609
Nick Maciel: well actually so and clarifying you know
this being my third time around is uh
438
00:21:37,290 –> 00:21:43,322
Nick Maciel: it’s it highlights the fact that the
fact of trial in air and
439
00:21:43,348 –> 00:21:43,895
440
00:21:43,865 –> 00:21:47,250
Nick Maciel: this is the first business where i’ve
sacrificed
441
00:21:46,655 –> 00:21:47,044
442
00:21:48,521 –> 00:21:53,616
Nick Maciel: lot like where i’m truly truly truly
passionate enough to sacrifice things that otherwise would
443
00:21:53,636 –> 00:21:55,306
Nick Maciel: be healthy for me um
444
00:21:55,835 –> 00:21:56,137
paris_vega: got you
445
00:21:56,450 –> 00:22:00,176
Nick Maciel: and learning a lot of lessons to
that when i received my first check pay
446
00:22:00,216 –> 00:22:06,096
Nick Maciel: check for the agency it was honestly
a little bit numbing i was very happy
447
00:22:06,276 –> 00:22:06,977
Nick Maciel: i was very grateful
448
00:22:06,674 –> 00:22:06,695
449
00:22:07,058 –> 00:22:07,638
Nick Maciel: i was very grateful
450
00:22:07,615 –> 00:22:07,756
451
00:22:08,440 –> 00:22:15,932
Nick Maciel: but for me it was not a
validation commensurate to amount of sleepless nights i
452
00:22:16,012 –> 00:22:19,802
Nick Maciel: put into structuring you know the funnel
the automation systems and
453
00:22:19,765 –> 00:22:19,987
454
00:22:19,942 –> 00:22:24,689
Nick Maciel: hiring out and just preparing you now
building the business so what does get
455
00:22:24,665 –> 00:22:24,745
456
00:22:24,770 –> 00:22:24,871
457
00:22:24,785 –> 00:22:27,887
paris_vega: you knew there was a lot to
come this was just the beginning
458
00:22:27,950 –> 00:22:28,351
459
00:22:28,348 –> 00:22:29,509
paris_vega: when you got that first payment it’s
460
00:22:29,494 –> 00:22:29,614
461
00:22:29,549 –> 00:22:29,709
462
00:22:29,654 –> 00:22:30,115
Nick Maciel: what does
463
00:22:29,929 –> 00:22:33,632
paris_vega: of course we need this first one
and this is just the first step of
464
00:22:33,752 –> 00:22:35,614
paris_vega: many that we need to get to
to make this all worth it
465
00:22:35,960 –> 00:22:42,931
Nick Maciel: exactly but what does get me high
is clientreferrals sorry client testimonies positive client testimonies
466
00:22:43,068 –> 00:22:43,232
467
00:22:43,512 –> 00:22:49,174
Nick Maciel: that will get me far more excited
the impact than the money really because to
468
00:22:49,215 –> 00:22:49,296
469
00:22:49,325 –> 00:22:49,507
470
00:22:49,357 –> 00:22:49,661
Nick Maciel: it’s like
471
00:22:49,527 –> 00:22:51,299
paris_vega: i guess the money starts the project
472
00:22:52,230 –> 00:22:52,591
473
00:22:52,495 –> 00:22:55,746
paris_vega: and then that show that that kind
of gives confirmation that what you’re a you’re
474
00:22:55,786 –> 00:22:57,472
paris_vega: adding value if you get a testimonial
475
00:22:57,653 –> 00:23:03,082
Nick Maciel: yeah and to that point right especially
on the v b side our clients have
476
00:23:03,122 –> 00:23:07,650
Nick Maciel: money to spend so for them it’s
just a number and so when that cover
477
00:23:07,770 –> 00:23:11,858
Nick Maciel: ation is quick but when the long
conversation is about the quality and the feedback
478
00:23:12,359 –> 00:23:14,243
Nick Maciel: right that’s really where the emotional
479
00:23:14,178 –> 00:23:14,423
480
00:23:14,303 –> 00:23:19,009
Nick Maciel: conversation happens and where you can wear
where you you can see the impact of
481
00:23:19,049 –> 00:23:19,472
Nick Maciel: the business
482
00:23:22,745 –> 00:23:26,390
paris_vega: okay and is the business growing the
way you would expect it to be at
483
00:23:26,410 –> 00:23:28,893
paris_vega: this point you said you’re two months
two or three months in
484
00:23:29,224 –> 00:23:32,151
Nick Maciel: it is growing the way i expect
it to be it’s not growing the way
485
00:23:32,212 –> 00:23:35,780
Nick Maciel: i want it to be it’s a
it’s
486
00:23:35,891 –> 00:23:36,151
487
00:23:36,383 –> 00:23:42,503
Nick Maciel: because yeah because things are not enterprise
level yet the works right now but
488
00:23:42,569 –> 00:23:42,589
489
00:23:43,084 –> 00:23:48,513
Nick Maciel: it’s like one month will do a
certain amount and then and it’s only even
490
00:23:48,553 –> 00:23:51,458
Nick Maciel: these three months yet so like we
made more in october than we did in
491
00:23:51,518 –> 00:23:57,331
Nick Maciel: november but we’re slat to make more
in december and the trend is lineally increasing
492
00:23:57,391 –> 00:24:01,657
Nick Maciel: from october to december it’s like there’s
not enough historical data to be like oh
493
00:24:01,777 –> 00:24:03,421
Nick Maciel: you know crack
494
00:24:03,335 –> 00:24:03,576
495
00:24:03,461 –> 00:24:03,802
Nick Maciel: three right
496
00:24:03,817 –> 00:24:04,018
497
00:24:04,263 –> 00:24:07,670
Nick Maciel: but i would say the revenue is
good like it’s especially good for the first
498
00:24:07,545 –> 00:24:07,687
499
00:24:08,692 –> 00:24:11,318
Nick Maciel: quarter of a year so yeah
500
00:24:11,746 –> 00:24:14,213
paris_vega: yeah you said you were profitable the
first month
501
00:24:14,450 –> 00:24:15,273
Nick Maciel: profitable the first month
502
00:24:16,725 –> 00:24:19,846
paris_vega: yeah that’s amazing a lot of businesses
503
00:24:19,691 –> 00:24:20,151
Nick Maciel: i appreciate
504
00:24:19,946 –> 00:24:20,127
505
00:24:20,211 –> 00:24:20,252
506
00:24:20,387 –> 00:24:20,748
paris_vega: never see
507
00:24:20,692 –> 00:24:20,712
508
00:24:20,788 –> 00:24:20,888
509
00:24:20,832 –> 00:24:21,013
510
00:24:20,928 –> 00:24:21,169
511
00:24:21,073 –> 00:24:21,293
Nick Maciel: to be
512
00:24:21,309 –> 00:24:21,489
513
00:24:21,794 –> 00:24:24,118
Nick Maciel: i had to be and the reason
i had to view was because i had
514
00:24:25,100 –> 00:24:29,206
Nick Maciel: i had actually drained my personal bank
account for this business so i had to
515
00:24:29,186 –> 00:24:29,247
516
00:24:29,246 –> 00:24:29,307
517
00:24:29,267 –> 00:24:29,368
518
00:24:29,367 –> 00:24:29,767
519
00:24:29,409 –> 00:24:29,692
paris_vega: all in
520
00:24:30,529 –> 00:24:34,440
Nick Maciel: i was on yeah
521
00:24:33,377 –> 00:24:34,582
paris_vega: got a lot of skin in the
game here
522
00:24:34,880 –> 00:24:35,000
523
00:24:35,346 –> 00:24:35,547
524
00:24:35,802 –> 00:24:35,922
525
00:24:37,945 –> 00:24:42,102
paris_vega: all right what tactics would you say
have been the most effective with these first
526
00:24:43,085 –> 00:24:43,936
paris_vega: clients that you’ve gotten
527
00:24:44,430 –> 00:24:53,448
Nick Maciel: yeah you want to get really creative
i would say extraordinarily creative about everything surrounding
528
00:24:53,105 –> 00:24:53,409
529
00:24:53,488 –> 00:24:59,708
Nick Maciel: the sale so like i feel like
a lot of people can sell right but
530
00:24:59,848 –> 00:25:00,395
531
00:25:00,549 –> 00:25:04,135
Nick Maciel: for me it was learning about how
to upsell the service how to cross sell
532
00:25:04,195 –> 00:25:09,864
Nick Maciel: the service how to split test the
marketing target different audiences to change the value
533
00:25:09,944 –> 00:25:14,787
Nick Maciel: offer to make it more attractive calling
friends and family members to give me their
534
00:25:16,590 –> 00:25:22,900
Nick Maciel: extraordinarily randomized sample of advice on how
to improve things which going back to the
535
00:25:22,940 –> 00:25:26,787
Nick Maciel: drawing board talking to investors that were
not even interested in the business to get
536
00:25:26,827 –> 00:25:32,486
Nick Maciel: their feed back like basic you have
to almost treat it like a coloring book
537
00:25:32,626 –> 00:25:36,098
Nick Maciel: treat your business like a coloring book
and just get really creative
538
00:25:38,735 –> 00:25:43,660
paris_vega: okay if you had to start over
today even though you’re still early would you
539
00:25:43,800 –> 00:25:46,522
paris_vega: launch differently at all would you focus
540
00:25:46,530 –> 00:25:46,790
541
00:25:46,622 –> 00:25:52,051
paris_vega: on one aspect as far as the
marketing the sale side of it going after
542
00:25:52,091 –> 00:25:53,133
paris_vega: that that new customer
543
00:25:52,932 –> 00:25:53,177
Nick Maciel: i said
544
00:25:54,356 –> 00:25:56,781
paris_vega: would you do anything differently if you
had to do it over even though you’re
545
00:25:57,102 –> 00:25:57,723
paris_vega: only three months in
546
00:25:57,920 –> 00:25:59,682
Nick Maciel: yeah i’d be more aggressive
547
00:25:59,738 –> 00:25:59,980
548
00:26:00,283 –> 00:26:03,970
Nick Maciel: i’d be more aggressive with prospecting because
549
00:26:04,058 –> 00:26:04,282
550
00:26:04,170 –> 00:26:09,359
Nick Maciel: i’ve reached a point now where i’m
like i have have a two hour time
551
00:26:09,399 –> 00:26:13,405
Nick Maciel: slot every gale day other than the
holidays of course because time with family is
552
00:26:13,576 –> 00:26:13,720
553
00:26:13,626 –> 00:26:14,086
Nick Maciel: important but
554
00:26:14,695 –> 00:26:14,856
555
00:26:14,928 –> 00:26:20,537
Nick Maciel: two hour time lot every day where
i close my blinds and grab a coffee
556
00:26:20,838 –> 00:26:26,590
Nick Maciel: and i literally don’t stop deming people
and emailing and cold calling and
557
00:26:26,665 –> 00:26:26,786
558
00:26:27,291 –> 00:26:31,820
Nick Maciel: the reason i didn’t do that in
the first month is because of fear i
559
00:26:32,000 –> 00:26:35,407
Nick Maciel: still hate cold calling like i still
hate getting on the phone with somebody i’ve
560
00:26:35,427 –> 00:26:35,567
561
00:26:35,585 –> 00:26:35,928
562
00:26:35,627 –> 00:26:41,536
Nick Maciel: talked to before um but i realized
i had to do it to get my
563
00:26:41,576 –> 00:26:47,042
Nick Maciel: name out there so either that or
spend thousands of dollars in marketing and just
564
00:26:47,122 –> 00:26:47,565
Nick Maciel: like throw
565
00:26:47,988 –> 00:26:48,209
566
00:26:48,740 –> 00:26:55,203
Nick Maciel: random things out so um yeah i
just would have been more aggressive an aggressive
567
00:26:55,263 –> 00:26:55,343
568
00:26:55,276 –> 00:26:55,398
569
00:26:55,383 –> 00:26:58,956
Nick Maciel: like a harsh word but like there’s
no other word i can think of you
570
00:26:58,996 –> 00:26:59,237
Nick Maciel: know it
571
00:27:00,676 –> 00:27:00,858
572
00:27:00,780 –> 00:27:01,470
573
00:27:02,817 –> 00:27:08,422
paris_vega: so would that mean more just more
hours assigned to that activity
574
00:27:08,790 –> 00:27:08,950
575
00:27:08,883 –> 00:27:09,404
576
00:27:09,471 –> 00:27:10,353
Nick Maciel: more hours assigned
577
00:27:10,417 –> 00:27:10,620
578
00:27:10,433 –> 00:27:13,137
Nick Maciel: specifically to prospect like i would do
all
579
00:27:13,016 –> 00:27:13,139
580
00:27:13,197 –> 00:27:19,568
Nick Maciel: of these like glorious glimmering structural work
on the business and the automations and stuff
581
00:27:20,209 –> 00:27:24,694
Nick Maciel: that didn’t need to happen because i’ve
done most of it pre launch so i’ve
582
00:27:24,815 –> 00:27:29,931
Nick Maciel: always just kind of been dancing around
the thing i’ve been most afraid of and
583
00:27:30,474 –> 00:27:30,514
584
00:27:30,556 –> 00:27:30,700
585
00:27:30,575 –> 00:27:31,500
Nick Maciel: had to have a serious
586
00:27:31,325 –> 00:27:31,345
587
00:27:31,540 –> 00:27:37,156
Nick Maciel: conversation with myself and tell myself like
you care about this too deeply already so
588
00:27:37,236 –> 00:27:40,782
Nick Maciel: you have to do the one thing
in the business operationally that you’re most terrified
589
00:27:40,842 –> 00:27:42,405
Nick Maciel: to do because it will actually
590
00:27:42,275 –> 00:27:42,295
591
00:27:42,465 –> 00:27:45,149
Nick Maciel: get you to like the way i
think about it is if
592
00:27:45,275 –> 00:27:45,498
593
00:27:45,391 –> 00:27:50,375
Nick Maciel: call a thousand people a day and
nine hundred and ninety nine people reject me
594
00:27:51,630 –> 00:27:58,145
Nick Maciel: and one person signs that’s more business
than me not calling anybody and getting zero
595
00:27:58,225 –> 00:27:58,567
Nick Maciel: for the week
596
00:28:00,126 –> 00:28:00,287
597
00:28:00,600 –> 00:28:02,384
Nick Maciel: so that’s just where i’m at
598
00:28:02,315 –> 00:28:03,155
599
00:28:02,906 –> 00:28:06,616
Nick Maciel: and i trust the process because for
me it’s like i know the quality of
600
00:28:06,656 –> 00:28:11,385
Nick Maciel: our contractors work i know from the
testimonials we have so far what we provide
601
00:28:11,866 –> 00:28:15,392
Nick Maciel: to the market is extraordinarily valuable and
i’m confident in that so for me it’s
602
00:28:15,432 –> 00:28:19,078
Nick Maciel: just a matter of time of as
soon as it’s like splitting the head off
603
00:28:19,118 –> 00:28:24,036
Nick Maciel: of hydra so for every like one
for every one positively it could be two
604
00:28:24,397 –> 00:28:25,338
Nick Maciel: referrals right
605
00:28:26,665 –> 00:28:26,867
606
00:28:27,290 –> 00:28:27,391
607
00:28:29,015 –> 00:28:35,574
paris_vega: yeah all right well man we’ve made
it through the chunk of the
608
00:28:35,562 –> 00:28:35,582
609
00:28:35,634 –> 00:28:37,538
paris_vega: questions i think i got a good
understanding
610
00:28:37,299 –> 00:28:37,320
611
00:28:38,159 –> 00:28:42,638
paris_vega: of how you got your first customers
and now i just
612
00:28:42,600 –> 00:28:42,924
613
00:28:42,658 –> 00:28:46,425
paris_vega: want to run through a few rapid
fire questions and then let you get back
614
00:28:46,465 –> 00:28:47,167
paris_vega: to prospecting
615
00:28:48,171 –> 00:28:51,962
Nick Maciel: awesome rapid fire here we go i’ve
actually never done this before
616
00:28:51,756 –> 00:28:52,061
paris_vega: all right
617
00:28:52,102 –> 00:28:52,142
618
00:28:52,122 –> 00:28:52,203
619
00:28:52,203 –> 00:28:52,383
Nick Maciel: i should
620
00:28:52,284 –> 00:28:52,386
621
00:28:52,423 –> 00:28:52,644
Nick Maciel: be fun
622
00:28:53,725 –> 00:28:56,612
paris_vega: okay just you can kind of answer
yes or no or you can go into
623
00:28:56,632 –> 00:28:58,998
paris_vega: a little bit of the details if
you want but i’m jus goin to ask
624
00:28:59,038 –> 00:29:01,043
paris_vega: you about different tools and whether or
not you use them
625
00:29:01,440 –> 00:29:01,641
626
00:29:02,195 –> 00:29:04,019
paris_vega: in your sales marketing funnel
627
00:29:04,430 –> 00:29:04,470
628
00:29:05,222 –> 00:29:09,352
paris_vega: all right let’s start off with just
a couple of prospecting tools clear bit
629
00:29:10,081 –> 00:29:10,161
630
00:29:12,217 –> 00:29:13,625
paris_vega: zoom in foe
631
00:29:13,590 –> 00:29:13,691
632
00:29:15,305 –> 00:29:19,402
paris_vega: okay a few c r m tools
monday
633
00:29:20,802 –> 00:29:22,606
Nick Maciel: yes but not for this business i’ve
used it
634
00:29:23,435 –> 00:29:24,886
paris_vega: okay okay hub spot
635
00:29:25,530 –> 00:29:26,632
Nick Maciel: yes but not for this business
636
00:29:28,295 –> 00:29:28,860
paris_vega: sales force
637
00:29:29,559 –> 00:29:30,802
Nick Maciel: yes but not for this business
638
00:29:33,521 –> 00:29:34,083
paris_vega: pipe drive
639
00:29:34,490 –> 00:29:34,550
640
00:29:36,065 –> 00:29:41,209
paris_vega: okay all right move on to some
cold outreach tactics well wait for c r
641
00:29:41,329 –> 00:29:44,754
paris_vega: m tools do you use anything for
this business for like a c m
642
00:29:44,953 –> 00:29:47,239
Nick Maciel: yeah mail champ has been extraordinarily
643
00:29:47,657 –> 00:29:47,923
644
00:29:47,820 –> 00:29:48,723
Nick Maciel: helpful yes
645
00:29:50,591 –> 00:29:51,458
paris_vega: add that to my list
646
00:29:52,880 –> 00:29:53,580
Nick Maciel: it is not by
647
00:29:53,615 –> 00:29:53,800
648
00:29:53,760 –> 00:29:55,442
Nick Maciel: any means a technically avid
649
00:29:55,197 –> 00:29:55,278
650
00:29:56,103 –> 00:29:57,884
Nick Maciel: c r m but for
651
00:29:57,806 –> 00:29:57,950
652
00:29:57,924 –> 00:30:01,908
Nick Maciel: the purposes of structuring work cloths and
automations it really does get the job done
653
00:30:02,069 –> 00:30:02,529
Nick Maciel: in my opinion
654
00:30:03,916 –> 00:30:04,116
655
00:30:04,710 –> 00:30:04,950
656
00:30:05,279 –> 00:30:08,585
paris_vega: and when you were saying automations earlier
were you meaning that you spent a lot
657
00:30:08,625 –> 00:30:10,248
paris_vega: of time on marketing automations
658
00:30:10,239 –> 00:30:10,260
659
00:30:10,308 –> 00:30:13,133
paris_vega: like setting up your funnel where it
was just this nice well oiled
660
00:30:13,470 –> 00:30:13,731
661
00:30:13,945 –> 00:30:17,337
paris_vega: kind of re targeting funnel or were
you saying other parts of the business you
662
00:30:17,378 –> 00:30:18,723
paris_vega: were focusing on optimizing
663
00:30:19,682 –> 00:30:22,066
Nick Maciel: i got the funnel done in in
about a week to a week and a
664
00:30:22,086 –> 00:30:29,458
Nick Maciel: half spring but this is more in
terms of the the systems of emails quoting
665
00:30:29,699 –> 00:30:33,648
Nick Maciel: follow up testimony testimony ask et cetera
666
00:30:35,695 –> 00:30:38,803
paris_vega: okay cool all right let’s move on
to some cold outreach
667
00:30:38,820 –> 00:30:39,908
668
00:30:38,904 –> 00:30:43,462
paris_vega: tactics you’ve answered some of this already
cold calling yeah
669
00:30:43,580 –> 00:30:43,740
670
00:30:44,526 –> 00:30:46,758
paris_vega: said yes to that cold texting
671
00:30:47,610 –> 00:30:49,358
Nick Maciel: no but i’m trying to get into
s
672
00:30:49,456 –> 00:30:49,658
673
00:30:49,458 –> 00:30:49,659
Nick Maciel: m s
674
00:30:50,985 –> 00:30:53,372
paris_vega: all right cold email marketing
675
00:30:53,660 –> 00:30:53,760
676
00:30:55,957 –> 00:30:56,801
paris_vega: cold d ms
677
00:30:57,080 –> 00:30:57,260
678
00:30:59,016 –> 00:31:02,803
paris_vega: all right which platforms do you usually
cold d m somebody on
679
00:31:03,200 –> 00:31:10,054
Nick Maciel: cold ms so taplio for linkedon is
really solid you can structure your sorry that’s
680
00:31:10,074 –> 00:31:12,398
Nick Maciel: for linkedon posting that’s completely separate thing
681
00:31:13,205 –> 00:31:13,386
682
00:31:13,791 –> 00:31:17,335
Nick Maciel: tweet hunter for twitter is extraordinary you
can
683
00:31:17,386 –> 00:31:17,688
684
00:31:17,415 –> 00:31:22,321
Nick Maciel: set up yes you can set up
these these things called autodms basically you create
685
00:31:22,461 –> 00:31:26,987
Nick Maciel: a value value content like a notion
or some other system or like a p
686
00:31:27,087 –> 00:31:31,844
Nick Maciel: d f attachment whatever it is and
then you pre schedule the tweet and then
687
00:31:32,045 –> 00:31:36,933
Nick Maciel: in the audio dem structure you can
select what the criteria for a prospect that
688
00:31:36,953 –> 00:31:39,457
Nick Maciel: they have to go through if they
visit your page so it can be like
689
00:31:39,557 –> 00:31:44,690
Nick Maciel: re tweet they must be following comment
and then you can put that in the
690
00:31:44,831 –> 00:31:49,583
Nick Maciel: copy of your your wet and then
basically it’s an you can think of it
691
00:31:49,743 –> 00:31:51,987
Nick Maciel: as like automatic affiliate market because basically
692
00:31:52,355 –> 00:31:52,536
693
00:31:52,688 –> 00:31:53,349
Nick Maciel: um if someone
694
00:31:53,341 –> 00:31:53,502
695
00:31:53,930 –> 00:31:57,295
Nick Maciel: engages with your post then they get
the value content that they are looking for
696
00:31:57,436 –> 00:32:00,004
Nick Maciel: in their dim that establishes a cold
relations put
697
00:31:59,906 –> 00:32:00,148
698
00:32:00,045 –> 00:32:02,442
Nick Maciel: them but just inherently by the fact
that they
699
00:32:02,516 –> 00:32:02,618
700
00:32:02,522 –> 00:32:02,702
701
00:32:02,700 –> 00:32:02,945
702
00:32:02,742 –> 00:32:07,768
Nick Maciel: to re tweet to get the content
now person b and c and d and
703
00:32:07,828 –> 00:32:08,489
Nick Maciel: so on and so forth
704
00:32:10,081 –> 00:32:12,526
paris_vega: i just recorded a podcast
705
00:32:12,210 –> 00:32:12,473
706
00:32:12,667 –> 00:32:15,733
paris_vega: yesterday with j k melina from tweet
hunter
707
00:32:15,800 –> 00:32:16,821
Nick Maciel: you spoke with j melina
708
00:32:17,975 –> 00:32:18,155
709
00:32:18,523 –> 00:32:20,665
Nick Maciel: no kidding are you serious
710
00:32:20,907 –> 00:32:21,088
711
00:32:21,265 –> 00:32:22,086
Nick Maciel: use like an inspiration
712
00:32:21,770 –> 00:32:21,951
713
00:32:22,226 –> 00:32:23,047
Nick Maciel: he’s an inspiration to me
714
00:32:23,015 –> 00:32:23,258
715
00:32:23,467 –> 00:32:24,008
Nick Maciel: yeah he’s awesome
716
00:32:24,355 –> 00:32:28,052
paris_vega: yeah he’s his episode is not coming
out till next month but but yeah
717
00:32:27,990 –> 00:32:28,620
718
00:32:28,675 –> 00:32:29,801
paris_vega: that’s crazy that you mentioned that
719
00:32:29,970 –> 00:32:30,513
Nick Maciel: that’s incredible
720
00:32:33,089 –> 00:32:38,439
paris_vega: all right what about cold snail mail
post cards letters kind of stuff
721
00:32:38,730 –> 00:32:42,661
Nick Maciel: no no i would say that’s just
not not my niche if i was doing
722
00:32:42,681 –> 00:32:43,283
Nick Maciel: like real estate
723
00:32:43,175 –> 00:32:43,337
724
00:32:43,323 –> 00:32:45,148
Nick Maciel: that old probably make more sense about
that
725
00:32:45,396 –> 00:32:47,527
paris_vega: right it’s interesting
726
00:32:47,520 –> 00:32:48,150
727
00:32:47,547 –> 00:32:51,053
paris_vega: because i’ve seen some of those services
start to be advertised like there’s kind of
728
00:32:51,093 –> 00:32:56,281
paris_vega: this kind of circling back or this
kind of second wave of like the digital
729
00:32:56,422 –> 00:33:01,049
paris_vega: version of the physical post cards they’ve
kind of automated and digitized a lot of
730
00:33:01,109 –> 00:33:05,398
paris_vega: the things that are possible to where
you can do all more at scale and
731
00:33:05,739 –> 00:33:06,200
732
00:33:06,810 –> 00:33:06,930
733
00:33:07,083 –> 00:33:10,592
paris_vega: but it’s still the old school mailing
i haven’t missed with it myself but
734
00:33:11,170 –> 00:33:15,237
Nick Maciel: yeah i think the cost for acquisition
is too high compared to digital advertising
735
00:33:17,095 –> 00:33:17,455
paris_vega: probably so
736
00:33:18,480 –> 00:33:19,710
737
00:33:18,697 –> 00:33:25,426
paris_vega: all right now let’s move into paid
out reach adds that kind of thing going
738
00:33:25,667 –> 00:33:28,460
paris_vega: back to old school one more time
physical bill boards
739
00:33:28,950 –> 00:33:28,970
740
00:33:30,035 –> 00:33:35,667
paris_vega: oh ah i always like to ask
that one because sometimes we’ll talk to clients
741
00:33:35,500 –> 00:33:35,720
Nick Maciel: i would
742
00:33:35,728 –> 00:33:35,788
743
00:33:35,781 –> 00:33:35,841
744
00:33:35,828 –> 00:33:35,888
745
00:33:35,921 –> 00:33:35,981
746
00:33:36,008 –> 00:33:36,348
747
00:33:36,041 –> 00:33:36,403
Nick Maciel: a lot of
748
00:33:36,388 –> 00:33:36,508
749
00:33:36,463 –> 00:33:36,623
750
00:33:36,929 –> 00:33:37,189
751
00:33:36,944 –> 00:33:37,526
Nick Maciel: if that was
752
00:33:37,489 –> 00:33:39,551
paris_vega: bill board advertising right
753
00:33:39,493 –> 00:33:41,520
754
00:33:40,051 –> 00:33:42,573
paris_vega: right high dollars for those impressions
755
00:33:42,680 –> 00:33:42,820
756
00:33:44,517 –> 00:33:45,240
paris_vega: influence our ads
757
00:33:46,291 –> 00:33:46,371
758
00:33:50,156 –> 00:33:51,346
paris_vega: right facebook adds
759
00:33:51,550 –> 00:33:52,492
Nick Maciel: yes lots of it
760
00:33:54,396 –> 00:33:54,879
761
00:33:55,910 –> 00:33:56,973
Nick Maciel: we tie that to our mid ads
762
00:33:58,535 –> 00:34:00,387
paris_vega: yeah google search adds
763
00:34:01,281 –> 00:34:02,287
Nick Maciel: but i got to get into that
next
764
00:34:03,715 –> 00:34:07,210
paris_vega: okay and kind of related but you
tube video ads
765
00:34:08,000 –> 00:34:15,653
Nick Maciel: um i’m mainly focusing on the personal
branding and leveraging shorts and then eventually building
766
00:34:15,765 –> 00:34:15,947
767
00:34:16,173 –> 00:34:23,060
Nick Maciel: the audience the subscriber based to then
start selling um and i’ve actually been more
768
00:34:23,421 –> 00:34:28,451
Nick Maciel: mostly successful on instagram with that but
i’m not going to sell until i hit
769
00:34:28,531 –> 00:34:33,391
Nick Maciel: like my philosophy is don’t sell until
you hit your first hundred because you want
770
00:34:33,472 –> 00:34:38,284
Nick Maciel: to establish trust with your audience and
then sell your own products and then the
771
00:34:38,344 –> 00:34:43,254
Nick Maciel: third tier would be work with brands
but for any like other solo printers out
772
00:34:43,294 –> 00:34:45,838
Nick Maciel: there that’s how i would recommend
773
00:34:47,359 –> 00:34:47,543
774
00:34:47,820 –> 00:34:49,200
775
00:34:48,937 –> 00:34:50,522
paris_vega: all right podcast adds
776
00:34:50,940 –> 00:34:53,565
Nick Maciel: oh no no
777
00:34:54,189 –> 00:34:54,935
paris_vega: linked in ads
778
00:34:56,131 –> 00:34:58,575
Nick Maciel: uh yes but not paid just organic
779
00:35:00,375 –> 00:35:02,241
paris_vega: okay tiktok ads
780
00:35:03,370 –> 00:35:05,513
Nick Maciel: no i don’t think that will ever
781
00:35:05,406 –> 00:35:05,591
782
00:35:07,476 –> 00:35:08,598
Nick Maciel: it’s not the platform
783
00:35:08,317 –> 00:35:08,602
784
00:35:09,119 –> 00:35:12,184
Nick Maciel: yeah and the reason i say that
is just because i mean there could come
785
00:35:12,224 –> 00:35:16,955
Nick Maciel: a point where we run an influence
program i can’t let me not put
786
00:35:16,865 –> 00:35:17,125
787
00:35:17,035 –> 00:35:20,414
Nick Maciel: myself in a box it’s just it’s
the
788
00:35:20,339 –> 00:35:20,520
789
00:35:20,614 –> 00:35:22,418
Nick Maciel: furthest out right now i would say
790
00:35:23,655 –> 00:35:23,855
791
00:35:24,211 –> 00:35:24,291
792
00:35:24,678 –> 00:35:28,047
paris_vega: because i could see based on the
target audience you were talking
793
00:35:27,990 –> 00:35:28,175
794
00:35:28,107 –> 00:35:29,611
paris_vega: about it seemed
795
00:35:29,520 –> 00:35:29,865
796
00:35:29,651 –> 00:35:30,213
paris_vega: pretty broad
797
00:35:31,030 –> 00:35:31,330
Nick Maciel: its broad
798
00:35:31,405 –> 00:35:32,408
paris_vega: kind of a general interest
799
00:35:32,612 –> 00:35:32,752
800
00:35:32,788 –> 00:35:32,909
801
00:35:32,813 –> 00:35:33,053
802
00:35:32,969 –> 00:35:33,370
paris_vega: of anybody
803
00:35:33,093 –> 00:35:33,434
Nick Maciel: but i can
804
00:35:33,430 –> 00:35:33,490
805
00:35:33,514 –> 00:35:33,694
806
00:35:33,590 –> 00:35:33,731
807
00:35:33,754 –> 00:35:33,874
808
00:35:33,791 –> 00:35:34,272
paris_vega: an idea
809
00:35:34,936 –> 00:35:39,704
Nick Maciel: yeah so there’s the target audience right
and then there’s the interest profile who actually
810
00:35:39,784 –> 00:35:40,105
811
00:35:39,837 –> 00:35:40,041
812
00:35:40,145 –> 00:35:42,048
Nick Maciel: through right the interest
813
00:35:41,986 –> 00:35:42,190
814
00:35:42,108 –> 00:35:42,609
815
00:35:42,251 –> 00:35:42,373
816
00:35:42,789 –> 00:35:44,612
Nick Maciel: is not in their twenties i can
tell you that
817
00:35:45,947 –> 00:35:45,987
818
00:35:46,135 –> 00:35:50,001
Nick Maciel: it’s late thirties early forties has the
largest interest profile and this is why i
819
00:35:50,081 –> 00:35:54,308
Nick Maciel: mentioned to you like the dad of
three kids who wants to build something
820
00:35:54,015 –> 00:35:54,158
821
00:35:54,589 –> 00:35:56,274
Nick Maciel: but hasn’t able to sorry
822
00:35:57,115 –> 00:35:57,275
823
00:35:57,720 –> 00:35:59,490
824
00:35:58,337 –> 00:36:00,681
paris_vega: when how many dads are on tiktok
be
825
00:36:00,612 –> 00:36:00,772
826
00:36:00,701 –> 00:36:00,841
827
00:36:00,812 –> 00:36:01,033
828
00:36:00,881 –> 00:36:00,961
829
00:36:01,073 –> 00:36:01,254
Nick Maciel: a few
830
00:36:01,562 –> 00:36:02,283
paris_vega: get a break down
831
00:36:03,200 –> 00:36:05,829
832
00:36:04,025 –> 00:36:10,720
paris_vega: oh all right what about different re
targeting tools um other than the add platform
833
00:36:10,780 –> 00:36:11,501
paris_vega: are using anything
834
00:36:11,490 –> 00:36:12,299
835
00:36:11,561 –> 00:36:14,344
paris_vega: outside of that like visitor q or
anything else
836
00:36:14,722 –> 00:36:16,405
Nick Maciel: no no but i need to get
into
837
00:36:16,265 –> 00:36:16,427
838
00:36:16,445 –> 00:36:17,787
Nick Maciel: that so
839
00:36:17,915 –> 00:36:23,461
paris_vega: all right and where do you post
your organic content do you have your own
840
00:36:23,541 –> 00:36:25,263
paris_vega: website that you post on
841
00:36:26,110 –> 00:36:28,613
Nick Maciel: so i don’t post on my my
own website our organic content
842
00:36:28,646 –> 00:36:28,831
843
00:36:28,733 –> 00:36:31,255
Nick Maciel: so we have the blog on our
website we have the news letter through email
844
00:36:31,336 –> 00:36:37,814
Nick Maciel: but then we do organic facebook linked

00:37:06,298 –> 00:37:07,079
Nick Maciel: we could post there
854
00:37:07,240 –> 00:37:07,302
855
00:37:07,320 –> 00:37:11,006
Nick Maciel: i just in terms of the cost

856
00:37:11,047 –> 00:37:13,775
Nick Maciel: win for our nice i really think
857
00:37:13,685 –> 00:37:13,846
858
00:37:13,836 –> 00:37:13,877
859
00:37:13,907 –> 00:37:13,967
860
00:37:13,917 –> 00:37:14,080
861
00:37:14,007 –> 00:37:16,100
paris_vega: is it like like lead for ads
862
00:37:16,940 –> 00:37:19,845
Nick Maciel: it’s leformads with a conversion pickle that
runs though a funnel
863
00:37:21,646 –> 00:37:25,760
paris_vega: cool all right so you’ve kind of
answered all the rest of them like pentre

paris_vega: snap chat product hunt medium cora
865
00:37:29,122 –> 00:37:32,388
Nick Maciel: also i just want to stress that

866
00:37:32,428 –> 00:37:33,269
Nick Maciel: definitely contact me
867
00:37:33,215 –> 00:37:33,437

00:37:33,329 –> 00:37:36,294
Nick Maciel: with creative ideas for legion and marketing
869
00:37:36,095 –> 00:37:36,317
870
00:37:36,334 –> 00:37:37,496
Nick Maciel: just because like
871
00:37:37,985 –> 00:37:38,005
872
00:37:38,097 –> 00:37:41,503
Nick Maciel: my my entire educational back and it
is engineering so starting
873
00:37:41,515 –> 00:37:41,658
874
00:37:41,803 –> 00:37:46,772
Nick Maciel: starting this business i would like to
think that i have some marketing acumen necessary
875
00:37:46,832 –> 00:37:49,917
Nick Maciel: to generate the believes that we have
but it’s not
876
00:37:49,811 –> 00:37:50,405
877
00:37:50,257 –> 00:37:53,722
Nick Maciel: optimal and i’m always always learning eighty
percent of
878
00:37:53,776 –> 00:37:53,920
879
00:37:53,782 –> 00:37:57,647
Nick Maciel: my time spent throughout the day every
single day is on some sort of course
880
00:37:57,787 –> 00:37:59,429
Nick Maciel: or learning system so
881
00:37:59,685 –> 00:37:59,786
882
00:38:00,210 –> 00:38:00,870
883
00:38:00,995 –> 00:38:03,722
paris_vega: well it sounds like you got a
pretty good funnel going um
884
00:38:04,080 –> 00:38:04,950
885
00:38:04,284 –> 00:38:07,191
paris_vega: and it’s it’s almost a matter of
budget as far as the paid side of
886
00:38:07,231 –> 00:38:07,411
paris_vega: it it’s
887
00:38:07,312 –> 00:38:07,455
888
00:38:07,451 –> 00:38:08,053
paris_vega: like you can only
889
00:38:09,690 –> 00:38:09,994
890
00:38:09,725 –> 00:38:12,047
paris_vega: scale so many platforms you know if
you’re
891
00:38:11,920 –> 00:38:12,060
892
00:38:12,087 –> 00:38:13,209
paris_vega: doing a dollar a day on
893
00:38:13,422 –> 00:38:13,542
894
00:38:13,449 –> 00:38:14,330
paris_vega: a hundred platforms
895
00:38:14,304 –> 00:38:14,444
896
00:38:14,350 –> 00:38:15,111
paris_vega: that kind of less
897
00:38:14,965 –> 00:38:15,125
898
00:38:15,191 –> 00:38:15,712
paris_vega: impact than
899
00:38:16,107 –> 00:38:16,267
900
00:38:16,333 –> 00:38:16,373
901
00:38:16,368 –> 00:38:16,468
902
00:38:16,413 –> 00:38:16,533
903
00:38:16,568 –> 00:38:16,648
904
00:38:16,613 –> 00:38:17,514
paris_vega: focused platforms
905
00:38:17,329 –> 00:38:20,395
Nick Maciel: my burn rate is high my burn
rate is super high and that’s
906
00:38:20,245 –> 00:38:20,410
907
00:38:20,415 –> 00:38:22,418
Nick Maciel: just because it’s early things are early
so
908
00:38:23,135 –> 00:38:25,139
paris_vega: yeah but if you’ve got the time
909
00:38:25,050 –> 00:38:26,324
910
00:38:25,199 –> 00:38:29,287
paris_vega: on the other hand or the resources
to post the organic content in more places
911
00:38:29,888 –> 00:38:30,369
paris_vega: that are free
912
00:38:30,339 –> 00:38:30,721
Nick Maciel: m oh
913
00:38:30,770 –> 00:38:32,253
paris_vega: that have a potential audience than
914
00:38:32,370 –> 00:38:32,554
915
00:38:33,025 –> 00:38:35,697
paris_vega: it seems like you might be leaving
some money on the table on those but
916
00:38:35,752 –> 00:38:35,933
917
00:38:35,878 –> 00:38:38,110
paris_vega: again being pressed for time
918
00:38:38,998 –> 00:38:39,378
Nick Maciel: yeah to your
919
00:38:39,355 –> 00:38:39,436
920
00:38:39,438 –> 00:38:39,639
921
00:38:39,476 –> 00:38:39,677
922
00:38:39,699 –> 00:38:39,819
923
00:38:39,717 –> 00:38:40,080
paris_vega: a judgment
924
00:38:39,899 –> 00:38:40,099
Nick Maciel: if i
925
00:38:40,100 –> 00:38:40,261
926
00:38:40,180 –> 00:38:44,767
Nick Maciel: were to advertise laterally across every platform
you mentioned and utilize all the tools sure
927
00:38:45,008 –> 00:38:47,652
Nick Maciel: i’d probably get more volume but i
also
928
00:38:47,488 –> 00:38:48,035
929
00:38:47,712 –> 00:38:50,716
Nick Maciel: don’t have the human capital right now
to achieve that
930
00:38:50,816 –> 00:38:50,959
931
00:38:51,417 –> 00:38:51,918
Nick Maciel: so we’re just
932
00:38:51,815 –> 00:38:52,565
933
00:38:51,958 –> 00:38:52,599
Nick Maciel: focused on like
934
00:38:52,845 –> 00:38:53,809
paris_vega: the organic side either
935
00:38:53,920 –> 00:38:57,292
Nick Maciel: yeah we’re just focusing on optimizing our
current systems um
936
00:38:57,355 –> 00:38:57,456
937
00:38:57,995 –> 00:39:02,654
Nick Maciel: and then once we have like a
one point five x revenue multiple which should
938
00:39:02,694 –> 00:39:07,342
Nick Maciel: be in like next month rough the
following february that’s really when we can start
939
00:39:07,723 –> 00:39:12,684
Nick Maciel: taking lumps out and investing in new
software and and hiring out so
940
00:39:13,975 –> 00:39:16,599
paris_vega: cool well this has been awesome and
941
00:39:16,721 –> 00:39:16,821
942
00:39:16,919 –> 00:39:20,605
paris_vega: i think we’ve gone through everything we
need to go through here really
943
00:39:20,579 –> 00:39:20,640
944
00:39:20,665 –> 00:39:21,425
paris_vega: inspiring to hear
945
00:39:21,360 –> 00:39:22,106
946
00:39:21,506 –> 00:39:25,729
paris_vega: how you’re you’re pushing so hard and
growing relatively
947
00:39:25,410 –> 00:39:25,610
948
00:39:25,809 –> 00:39:26,610
paris_vega: fast man
949
00:39:27,173 –> 00:39:27,193
950
00:39:27,231 –> 00:39:27,271
951
00:39:27,234 –> 00:39:27,534
952
00:39:27,311 –> 00:39:27,571
paris_vega: know it’s
953
00:39:27,574 –> 00:39:27,614
954
00:39:27,611 –> 00:39:30,153
paris_vega: not where you want it to be
but but being profitable already
955
00:39:29,940 –> 00:39:30,220
Nick Maciel: it never
956
00:39:30,214 –> 00:39:30,294
957
00:39:30,280 –> 00:39:30,361
958
00:39:30,334 –> 00:39:30,754
959
00:39:30,441 –> 00:39:32,084
Nick Maciel: right it never is right
960
00:39:32,255 –> 00:39:32,415
961
00:39:32,566 –> 00:39:32,706
962
00:39:32,876 –> 00:39:33,056
963
00:39:33,167 –> 00:39:33,588
Nick Maciel: i appreciate
964
00:39:33,317 –> 00:39:33,437
965
00:39:33,628 –> 00:39:33,688
966
00:39:33,758 –> 00:39:38,468
paris_vega: the profit things incredible especially these days
with the way the economy could be going
967
00:39:38,729 –> 00:39:38,969
paris_vega: you know
968
00:39:39,364 –> 00:39:39,404
969
00:39:39,430 –> 00:39:39,791
970
00:39:39,485 –> 00:39:39,825
Nick Maciel: just want to
971
00:39:39,851 –> 00:39:40,172
972
00:39:39,865 –> 00:39:40,346
Nick Maciel: mention to
973
00:39:40,212 –> 00:39:40,893
paris_vega: a bigger issue
974
00:39:41,247 –> 00:39:43,391
Nick Maciel: about the economy i just want to
briefly mention
975
00:39:43,415 –> 00:39:43,435
976
00:39:43,471 –> 00:39:45,595
Nick Maciel: is this important right there’s two
977
00:39:45,586 –> 00:39:45,729
978
00:39:45,675 –> 00:39:48,981
Nick Maciel: things right so if we look at
the business side right if you’re
979
00:39:48,946 –> 00:39:48,966
980
00:39:49,001 –> 00:39:50,084
Nick Maciel: an engineering business or you’re trying
981
00:39:50,054 –> 00:39:50,075
982
00:39:50,144 –> 00:39:54,533
Nick Maciel: to develop a technical startup you’re going
to have to lay off people probably within
983
00:39:54,574 –> 00:39:59,261
Nick Maciel: the next year as things are trending
and so to out source have to out
984
00:39:59,301 –> 00:40:02,467
Nick Maciel: source your product design reliably that can
be a very daunting thing that’s where we
985
00:40:02,527 –> 00:40:08,550
Nick Maciel: come in right and then also on
consumer side um it’s the great resignation it’s
986
00:40:08,590 –> 00:40:11,172
Nick Maciel: the great resignation people are leaving their
jobs people re getting laid off people are
987
00:40:11,192 –> 00:40:14,915
Nick Maciel: going to continue to be fired and
so the best time to start your passion
988
00:40:15,015 –> 00:40:18,958
Nick Maciel: project would be now so we like
to think that we can physician ourselves as
989
00:40:19,018 –> 00:40:23,215
Nick Maciel: a thought leader in the recession space
and hopefully give people
990
00:40:22,985 –> 00:40:24,095
991
00:40:23,315 –> 00:40:24,570
Nick Maciel: a tend
992
00:40:24,515 –> 00:40:25,265
993
00:40:24,631 –> 00:40:26,637
Nick Maciel: our hand out and help people that
need it so
994
00:40:28,615 –> 00:40:28,796
995
00:40:29,025 –> 00:40:30,309
996
00:40:29,459 –> 00:40:32,331
paris_vega: everybody go talk to nick adversity and
get some products launched
997
00:40:32,673 –> 00:40:33,054
Nick Maciel: let’s do it
998
00:40:33,065 –> 00:40:33,306
999
00:40:33,095 –> 00:40:34,660
Nick Maciel: and thank you so much ferris it’s
been a pleasure
paris_vega: yeah thank you
